History
1991
A road building company AS Talter was established.
1998
Nordic construction groups Lemminkäinen Oyj and NCC AB became stockholders of AS Talter. AS Talter was merged with a road building unit of Lemminkäinen Eesti AS. Same owners acquired a majority of AS Tasfil shares.
1999
Acquisition of Tartu-located AS Üleaedne assets and establishment of Tartu branch of AS Talter.
2000
A bituminous concrete factory, situated in Pahnimäe near Rakvere, was privatized and production of bituminous concrete mixes was started.
2002
AS Talter and AS Tasfil were merged with a view to simplify the management of the closely connected companies and to find synergy.
By this time, as a result of successful co-operation AS Talter clearly became the biggest client of AS Tasfil, whereas owners of the both companies were almost identical.
2003
AS Talter won a tender for maintenance of public highways in Ida-Virumaa county, organized by Estonian Road Administration. On the basis of human resources and assets of the then Ida-Viru Road Department, in Tammik in Jõhvi municipality Virumaa branch of AS Talter was established, whose task was to maintain and keep in order about 1000 km of public highways.
2004
Lemminkäinen Oyj bought 49,8% of AS Talter shares from NCC Roads Holding AB. This deal led to the increase of Lemminkäinen Oyj-owned AS Talter shares up to 99,4%. Lemminkäinen Oyj, a versatile construction company, was established in 1910. It is one of the biggest construction companies in the Nordic countries and is a leading road building company in Finland. It has been involved in road building projects also in other Nordic countries, the Baltic states, and Russia.
In the same year AS Talter acquired a road marking business of AS Rajar TL and started its independent operations on road marking market.
2005
AS Talter started operations on road surfacing market.
2009
AS Talter acquired 100 % shares of Magistraal OÜ, widening business area to Pärnu region (South-West Estonia).
23th Dec. 2009 AS Talter business name was changed to AS Lemminkäinen Eesti.
Quality System
Lemminkäinen Eesti AS (former Talter AS) obtained on 15th of June 2001 Quality Certificate ISO 9001:2000 from certification firm BVQI. Field of handling of this certificate is Project Management in Road Construction. In organization structure Quality System involves construction, technical, finance and personnel department activities. In construction area Quality System involves stages of Information, Tender, Contract, Management of construction and Guarantees.
Certifying firm BVQI as auditor makes regular revisions to control our Quality System. After first regular quality audit in February 2002 BVQI acknowledged that Quality System of Lemminkäinen Eesti AS is progressive and well practiced.
The quality management involves the whole company, which must guarantee the improvement of the work quality in Lemminkäinen Eesti AS at its all levels. Every employee in our company knows their function and carries a responsibility to complete their work well.
The purpose of the Quality System ISO 9001:2000 is to enlarge our capability to compete in road construction market, to be reliable partner to our Employers and to guarantee steadily good quality in production process.
